Tuesday Re-up and Kius Fix!

(Sign up to receive Open Tuesday offers like this one by text or by email.)

Wine friends,

The December holiday season is just around the corner.

That means it’s a perfect time to stock up on Kius!

Today we’re thrilled to offer the Kius Pas Dose, Marco Carpineti’s ultra-elegant top-tier sparkling wine.

The Pas Dose bottling is normally reserved exclusively for the Italian market. Apart from our small parcel, that’s the only place to find it.

Pas Dose is made with 100 percent Nero Buono, a native grape that’s ideal for the production of metodo classico sparkling wine. (Also known as the Champagne method). The wine is aged for 60 months on the lees prior to bottling.

(Last year we offered Carpineti’s entry-level Kius Brut, made with the Bellone grape).

Today’s Open Tuesday price for the Kius Pas Dose is better than any published price on the market in Italy.

This is a delicious and refined wine that will lift your holiday meals to another level.

Marco Carpineti - 2015 “Kius” Pas Dosé Brut

Marco Carpineti’s 2015 Pas Dose shows sinewy citrus notes, with a touch of yeast and bright herbs. It’s got plenty of flavor depth and a succulent, persistent finish. As usual, this top-tier white sparkler is finely focused, dry, and elegant.

Available Wines (the re-up):

Manuel Marinacci - 2019 Barbaresco Rocche Massalupo

Manuel’s 2019 Rocche Massalupo Barbaresco is a masterpiece. Like the 2017 many of you know, the 2019 shows delicate red fruit that’s almost pinot-like – yet it’s also chiseled and potent. That balancing act is what makes great Nebbiolo a great wine, and one that’s sought-after throughout the wine world. You won’t be disappointed.

Manuel Marinacci - 2020 Barbera d’Alba

The 2020 Marinacci Barbera d’Alba is the most food-friendly wine of the three, pairing beautifully with anything from burgers to steaks to aperitivo time. It was a previous vintage of this Barbera that first convinced me to visit Manuel and pursue our collaboration. This, the first Marinacci Barbera we’ve ever offered, is a sneaky great wine that will make you wish you’d stashed away a few more bottles.

Manuel Marinacci - 2022 Dolcetto d’Alba

Manuel’s 2022 Dolcetto is an exuberant red showing brambly dark fruit, a floral nose, and just the right amount of savory minerality. It’s balanced, persistent, and hearty, with a firm tannic structure.

Marco Sara - 2022 Friulano (Friuli Colli Orientali)

Marco Sara’s 2022 Friulano is a poised, fruit-forward white wine with a long and savory mineral finish. Friulano, formerly known as Tocai Friulano, is widely regarded as one of Italy's best whites, and Marco Sara ranks among its best interpreters.

Marco Sara - 2021 Cabernet Franc (Friuli Colli Orientali)

Marco’s Cabernet Franc is heady, opulent organic red wine with dark expressive red fruit. The style has little in common with the Cabernet Franc examples made elsewhere in the world, specifically in California and Washington (depending on the producer). This wine shows no oak, no overt alcohol, and no doctored-up saturation. It’s the real thing. Nothing but delicious green pepper- and raspberry-tinged Cab Franc goodness.

How it works:

After clicking one of the links above, you’ll be able to request 1-12 bottles. Actually, that’s all you have to do!

About a week later, when we close the offer, you’ll get an email confirming how many bottles we allocated to your account. We will charge you when the wines are allocated.

We’ll do our best to allocate all the bottles you request. When there are more requests than bottles available, we’ll allocate one bottle to all requesting members before allocating a second bottle to anyone. We want as many members as possible to try these wines.

This is the 11th offer of our 2023 fall season. Through the first week of November, we plan to send offers on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

We ship in increments of 12. With 18 offers this season, there should be plenty of chances to get to 12, 24, or 36. If you don’t have an increment of 12 at the end of the fall season offers, we can hold your wines until the next offer season – spring 2023.

Wines offered in the fall will ship in late November-early December for $5 per bottle (if you have an increment of 12.) This is about the same as the price to ship coast-to-coast within the U.S. – but our wines come directly from Italy.

Once your payment method is on file, you can make future requests with just a few clicks from the offer email. If you don’t have a card on file, you can add one during your first order. Your personal financial information is protected by Stripe.
