Wine Philosophy

Good wine is the wine that you like.

What your palate prefers is more important than anything a wine expert or insider says.

Then again, do you like everything you liked 10 years ago? I sure don’t. I didn’t eat eggplant before moving to Italy. Now I can’t get enough. It doesn’t hurt that eggplant goes well with both white and red wine.

Our tastes evolve, and our wine tastes are no exception. I used to adore Amarone della Valpolicella, and now I hardly ever drink it.

So why not expose your palate to new wines? As they say, variety is the spice of life.

We’re here to help.

At Open Tuesday, you will get a tasting tour of Italy via the small-production wines we love. We’ll introduce you to new wines, new flavors, and even new food pairings.

Stylistically, our wines are food-friendly and refreshing. Some may be more serious and structured than others, but they are always lively and bright.

Too many wines on the market are clumsy, overwrought, and heavy. There’s either too much oak, too much sugar, or too much alcohol.

At Open Tuesday, we offer a stark contrast: refreshing wines that reflect the natural variety of Italy.

And our wines won’t break the bank. Even the splurge opportunities will offer great value at their price points.

Most of our offerings are great everyday wines, perfect for a Monday or Thursday night. Sunday afternoon works nicely too. And don’t forget Tuesday.

That’s it. That’s the Open Tuesday philosophy.
